Why Clients Choose Seven Oaks Therapy

I was at the lowest point in my life, and Rachel helped me.

“I remember Rachel saying,  “I can guide you, yet you have to do the work!” She cares about her clients, and never will give up on you! Even today, I still use the tools that she taught me years later!! She gave me my life back!!!”

– M.F., Past Client

Nearly a decade ago, I found myself in a crisis.

“Rachel was the beacon of light God used to direct me in the way to go. Rachel guided me through the process of rebuilding myself through sound Biblical counseling. Frequently Asked Questions

What is Marriage Counseling?

Marriage counseling, also called couples counseling or marriage therapy, is a type of mental health counseling or psychotherapy. It helps all types of couples (married and unmarried) identify points of conflict and seeks resolution and understanding.

Marriage counseling will often lead to greater intimacy and understanding between partners because counseling creates a safe, non-judgmental space where present and past relational conflict can be resolved and thoughtful decisions about the future can be made.

How Does Marriage Counseling Work?

Marriage counseling is often led by a licensed marriage, licensed clinical psychologist, family therapist or a licensed counselor that specializes in helping couples.

The sessions can be from an hour to multi-hour, which are designed to help problems move more quickly in the initial phase of learning about one another’s core issues and experiences. This can lead to a deeper understanding of yourself, others, and more rapid growth and progress.

Marriage counseling is often short-term depending on the severity of the conflict. Most couples who commit to at least 10 sessions will usually often see the greatest progress in resolving conflict, nurturing trust, and cultivating a deeper connection with each other.

Does Insurance Cover Marriage Counseling?

Yes, insurance often covers marriage counseling. Seven Oaks Therapy, however, is a private pay practice which means we are considered out-of-network.

NOTE: We do not bill insurance. It is up to the client to seek potential reimbursement from their insurance provider.

Do You Offer Premarital Counseling?

Yes, Seven Oaks Therapy offers premarital counseling to help couples build a strong foundation for their future together. Premarital counseling focuses on improving communication, exploring shared values, and addressing potential challenges in a supportive environment. It’s a thoughtful step to ensure your relationship starts with clarity, connection, and mutual understanding.

Our Mission

The Seven Oaks mission is to help women and teen girls heal from trauma, anxiety, and chronic stress using evidence-based therapy and treatments to improve mental, emotional, and relational health.
